IYC 2022 will Be the Start for JIS Soft Launching Series

The Jakarta administration collaborated with PT Jakarta Tourisindo (Jakarta Experience Board), Pancoran Soccer Field (PSF), PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda) or Jakpro, and MNC Media to kick off a series of Soft Launching JIS Malam #StadionKita.

Collaborating with International Youth Championship (IYC) event, the Soft Launching of JIS Malam #StadionKita is a series of events that introduces the Jakarta International Stadium as a new symbol of collaboration, inclusiveness, sustainable urban regeneration, and the economic revival of the city of Jakarta.

It will be held from April 13 to 19, 2022. In addition to the competition, there will also be presenting performances involving 75 performers to 127 creative workers.

Indonesian All Star U-20 Players Look Excited Practicing at JIS

Despite Indonesia's Covid-19 hotbed having seen a steady decrease in the number of daily cases, the implementation of health protocols will still be applied as an anticipatory effort because health is the top priority.

JXB President Director Novita Dewi said that it is a good signal for the tourism industry. JXB became a Jakarta BUMD which held the Soft Launching of JIS Malam #StadionKita and played a role in managing the hospitality of the entire series of events. She hoped it could be the beginning of the history of the birth of a new icon of pride for Jakarta.

"Alhamdulillah, the pandemic in Jakarta has been handled well so we can continue this program and hope it can be a sign that Jakarta is ready to host again for international events, as well as become a new milestone for Indonesian speaking football in the eyes of the world," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Tuesday (4/12).

Further, as many as 2,500 representatives from the sports community and the general public from six districts and cities in Jakarta would be invited to attend as spectators. 

They would get a viewing schedule for only one game to avoid overcrowding and colored bracelet for each match to avoid cheating. The seating distance would also be adjusted to minimize contact between spectators.

Moreover, the event also received support and collaboration from Bank DKI, Sarana Jaya, and all parties involved, which aimed of succeeding in each series of events.

PSF Chairman Gede Widiade explained it is a continuation of the International Youth Cup event which in 2019 had been held in Bali. This year, two foreign teams were invited, namely Barcelona U18 and Atletico Madrid U18, including the local teams such as Bali United U18 which won the U18 League 1 this year, and Indonesian All Star U20 players.

"This is a form of our participation in proving Indonesia's readiness to host the U20 World Cup in 2023. Thank you for the trust that has been given to us to organize this international event," he stressed.

As the promoter of IYC, Pancoran Soccer Field (PSF) manages the entire series of matches and bridges communication between competing clubs.

Indonesian All Star U20 players as one of the teams invited to compete would present the best players from various clubs, one of which was Persija. Two Persija players namely M. Salman Al Farid and M. Ihsan Kusuma Siregar would join forces to strengthen the Indonesian All Stars team.

All events would be broadcast by official media coverage from MNC Media, namely RCTI, MNC TV, INews, RCTI+, Vision+, and Soccer Channel.

Even though JIS's construction work was executed during the pandemic, its construction continued as planned by adapting various existing challenges through innovation and measurable acceleration.

It involved more than 3,000 workers. Aside that, 100 percent of the construction was carried out by engineers from Indonesia.

This means that JIS is a symbol of the progress of the construction world in Indonesia as well as strengthening our commitment to developing sportainment in the country with international quality and facilities.

Based on a British media report, Daily Mail, on February 20, 2021, JIS Stadium was included in the 10 grandest stadiums in the world and obtained a MURI record in three categories at once, namely Lifting the Stadium Roof Structure with the Heaviest Weight which was popped up at the same time, the first stadium to use the open-closed roof system and the green building stadium with the first platinum certification.

As for the information, JIS stadium is part of the transformation of the City of Jakarta that offers new experiences for all elements of society. It is expected to attract tourists and business actors in the field of performances and sports.

The Soft Launching of JIS Malam #StadionKita with the International Youth Championship will be the first activation at the Jakarta International Stadium. The stadium, which is managed by Jakpro, is a FIFA standard stadium with a capacity of 82,000 seats.

It has several excellent features, such as two training fields with the same grass quality as the main field, namely hybrid grass, 52 corporate box rooms, a 70-meter sky view deck, press conference & media room, home & away player changing rooms, and a concourse that has the motive towards the Qibla to make it easier for Muslims to still be able to worship while in the stadium.
